Cheb Nasro is an Algerian singer known for singing the emotions of his country as well as love with a capital A, that of a woman or that of his neighbour.
The artist was born on November 30, 1960 in Algeria. At 2 years old, he receives a darbouka, and it may be a click for him… At 6 years old, the little boy is already performing at school shows. At the time, his neighbor was the famous raï singer Cheb Zahouani. Who once Cheb Nasro became a 17-year-old teenager, encouraged him to perform on stage and at weddings. The following year, the young man recorded his very first title and performed with other raï singers on a tour across Europe.
Cheb Nasro offers a particular style of romantic raï which recalls that of Cheb Hasni. With whom he was a close friend. He sings more than 130 titles full of emotions about his country, but also love as with the titles “Ya elli chaghla balii”, “Galbi Aachek laytima”, or “Guabletni we dare”.
